ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Maureen Thompson
I am originally from Key West Florida. I now live in Bremerton Washington. I’ve been painting often on my entire life. My work combines, vibrant colors with the expressions of faces to bring out emotions in the viewer. I allow the forms and materials of my art to flow in a way that speaks directly to the core of my being through this fusion I explore the possibility that each one of us can affect one another through our outward expressions. My canvases are filled with a dynamic brilliance of color that evokes varying feelings of joy, sadness, freedom and contentment from the observer through my art. I hope to encourage viewers to explore the depth of their own emotions and open their hearts and minds to the world of possibilities around them.
