ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Samantha Sobota
I crave organization in my life, but my passion for art and fascination with nature have circled me back to my childhood dreams. I am a military veteran who recently completed my service, and has transitioned to a career of creating art and teaching yoga. As a child, I vividly remember loving the challenge of drawing and testing new mediums in art class, and teachers correcting me to "fix" the way I held my pencil. My work is often influenced by landscapes that humans have altered- and Mother Nature finds a way to temper them to her liking. I also love painting portraits, particularly in watercolor or black and grey.
