ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Linda Robin is a local artist.  She creates vibrant abstract paintings that highlight interesting imperfections by blending color, lines, and shapes through visual layering.  One major objective is to explore expression by using bolder "mark-making" and more textural brushstrokes. Another focus is to paint bold figures and shapes that show vulnerability and contemplation. Linda is intrigued by abstract shapes and bold colors.

Her artistic journey began when she was a young dancer and lasted all the way through her work as a dance teacher. Her creative entity is affected by a fusion of movement, color, shapes, and lines, which came from years of managing dance productions and participating in choreography.  Intuitively she threads those interactions with pressing social issues into her art.
