ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Lucia was born in Ciudad Obregon Sonora. lives in San Carlos Sonora since 1995. She has spent the last twenty years as an Artist and painter, honing her creativity and attention to detail skills.
In addition to her experience as an artist, she studied architecture in Monterrey Nuevo Leon in (TEC) Tecnológico de Monterrey and had several studies in Arts, painting, and sculpture. Studied in a bilingual school since she was 6 years old plus studied for 1 year in Ferdinand, Indiana at Marian Heights Academy as a normal enrolled student and English as her second language. As a great and curious entrepreneur, she started in the sport, food, and coffee industry for several years and then started her career as a Plastic Artist. She had several galleries here in San Carlos of her own giving a magic feeling to our community through her art and classes. Since 2010 she has worked with a Gallery in San Jose del Cabo in Baja California in a very prestigious Area and did a project of big Fiberglass sculptures participating with a nonprofit organization together with the gallery.
In 2018, honoring her philosophy: Art is my passion, helping is my purpose´´, Lucia started the initiative to contribute and leave something to our San Carlos, designing a great Art project that changed the atmosphere of the town forever, adding value with, ¨Dolphins of San Carlos: A Project of Hope¨, which was finalized in 2019 at the beginning of the pandemic, with the installation of 27 sculptures in the form of Dolphins, our representative Animal here in San Carlos. A project that gave us hope during the COVID-19 time, putting to work Artists, and the community, and giving purpose and hope to sponsors to be part of this Urban beautiful Outdoor Gallery.
In her constant curiosity about the world, she searches to contribute to others through her passion, Art.
