This painting was inspired by the view, and vision, that Rajvir saw on his first flight to the US.
Some connoisseurs see a vision of a cloaked and hooded man (in blue) carrying a woman wearing a long, flowy dress (in gold), in the center of the artwork.
Created using real sand, resin and ink, the ‘lace effect’ seen in this artwork is the result of hours of experimentation, which has now become a proprietary technique unique to Rajvir.
Similar to other Rajvir pieces, Laguna has a tendency to ‘pull you in’ the more you observe it. The different layers give a sense of depth to the piece. There is more than what meets the eye.
