Bhavna Handa is a visual artist living in Orange County, California. Born and raised in India, Bhavna moved to the United States when she was 25 years old. With her background in Textile Designing and Building Architecture, she took a scenic route to a far more creative life. Exposure to a multi-cultural lifestyle is something that she has embraced while reflecting depth through her works bold colors, textures and care for expression.
Bhavna works across acrylic mediums to explore various textures and styles, arranging them into conceptually layered installations. It is the essence of Wabi Sabi and true beauty of imperfection through the artistic eye; the heavier body acrylic paint can be seen as coverage. Her work has evolved over the years uas her belief in creating is that,
"Every painting is a journey of discovery and each stroke a breath of life. Just like meditation, experiencing life beyond one’s physical nature"
In a short period, her exhibitions were quickly showcased in Huntington Beach Art Center, Createmagazine and various art fairs. Through hard work and dedication, Bhavna has truly exemplified that passion never lies. As the Co-Founder of ‘Permission to Create’ Collective, she can't wait to see what the future holds!
