Shane Townley

Shane Townley is an American contemporary artist, curator, art director, and entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience in the art world. Born in Ithaca, New York, and raised in Southern California, Townley began creating art at an early age and sold his first painting at just 12 years old. Since 2004, he has founded and directed galleries, art centers, exhibitions, and online platforms including LagunaART.com and NewYorkART.com, developing opportunities that connect artists with collectors, galleries, and communities.

His work as an artist explores landscape, abstraction, nature, and humanity’s relationship with the environment, while his curatorial and entrepreneurial projects focus on creating new platforms for contemporary artists. Now based in Joshua Tree, California, Townley continues to paint, curate exhibitions, organize art events, and develop creative projects that bring art into unexpected spaces.
