Experiencing a deeper unconscious state; without guiding me through the view, until the end of the act. The touch and sensations I experience, are the only reason for the chromatic forms existing in the space. possibly remind us of the morphology of a bird and a fish.

Mateo Villacís Morales
I was born in Quito-Ecuador. I had always a particular taste for art, in my childhood I loved to make experiments mixing whatever my intuition told me to, and just creating something to have fun with. Afterwards, I was very interested in flavours and cooking so i decided to study gastronomy. Then, I found myself again with the painting, this time in a more personal way, and I got deeply fascinated with the first work. Time after I decided to study art and specialize in painting.
Lately, creating a painting for me, has become a ritual more than anything. In my latest paintings, I'm letting my unconscious take total control over the space. Sometimes infused by a clear imagination. Other times, with a blank mind, letting myself feel with every intuitive movement I experience at the time, of rapid brushstrokes and some splashes of water, this particular shape is constituted there. somehow it's as if the being would be using me in the state in which I find myself as a bridge, materializing itself and being able to have a physical body.
