ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Andrea Vardanian-Reish
As a painter I am inspired by the beauty of nature and the magic of music. A rhythmic force is always present in my abstract expressionist and impressionist oil and acrylic work. Expressive color, energized textures and dramatic rhythmic line are integral to my painting practice. A dynamic evolves with the paint brush and the piano keys and therein a unique harmony is achieved. My own musical compositions and the work of my favorite neo-classical composers have a direct relationship to my paintings as I work intuitively from nature and from my imagination. I also find strong inspiration in my Armenian family heritage, rich in its own language, music and cultural arts. I enjoy working in my San Clemente home studio as well as working on location as I travel across the country. I continue to work on commissions and a variety of collection building pieces finding great satisfaction in this powerful union of painting and music.
