Michael Patrick Thieme
My art style directly relates to my formal education and practice of Architecture. I am intrigued by the controlled process of applying paint to canvas and the resulting images vary based on the detailed technique of applying paint to the canvas 1 line at a time. My process results inherent texture, depth and movement. Each work studies color adjacencies, scale, and density of lines in one or both directions. In 2022 I began exploring free hand drawing concepts using marker on paper.
