ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Ted Smith
I am originally from New Orleans, but have lived in southern California for the last 25 years or so. I paint in acrylic in 2 distinct styles. Abstract, they tend to express my emotional inner life. They express what mood I’m in or how I’m feeling, often not completely clear to me until later. I also paint in the Figurative style concentrating on animals. Caring for animals make us better humans—they make us more compassionate and caring.
