Mixed Media on Cradled Wood
I’m a mixed media artist living in the Pacific Northwest near Portland, Oregon. You will usually find me in my home studio (at my desk in my bedroom) creating a small mixed media floral collage using torn pieces of hand painted paper, vintage paper, acrylic paint, and various mark making tools. I like to work small and get excited about expressing joy in all the details.
I’ve always been creative, but it wasn't until 2015 while recovering from an illness that I found art to be a source of healing and got deliberate about including painting into my daily life. Art became an essential daily practice, and it still is today.
My work is born of curiosity, imagination, and intuition. Inspired by nature and color, most pieces begin with creative play and exploration. Creating is my passion and joy; it's how I connect with and share the deepest, truest parts of myself with the world. As long as I'm creating, I'm cultivating meaning in my life.
