Bénédicte Brigeot
Bénédicte Brigeot was born in 1973 in the land of porcelain. She grew up in Lorraine, in Nancy, a great cultural city. But it is with his family that his artistic fiber develops. Everyone goes there with their own passion, dance, music, photography, circus, drawing ... so many enriching disciplines. Having a rather scientific education she will study to become an optician.
Completely self-taught, she began painting at 19, discovering watercolor during her summer vacation in Brittany. The passion for the sea is already there. Always very active in life, between work and children, she tries her hand at acrylics especially for learning portraits. She then adopts this technique. In 2017 she created Artbeige and left behind her profession as an optician to devote herself solely to painting.
A radical change of life, on the island of Noirmoutier, will give her the desire to paint her sea landscapes. Equipped with her camera, she travels the coasts in search of the best views. The influence of black and white will trigger a click, the Collection NO Otherwise ... was born. In all these achromatic nuances a color slips, the island then takes on another dimension.
After a few exhibitions and craft markets, Bénédicte created Atelier Artbeige in the city center of Noirmoutier-en-l'Île. A place of sharing where workshop, exhibition and painting lessons come together.
