ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Born and raised in southern California, William remembers the long “road trips” he and his family would take every summer. Always discovering “a new way to see the USA” his father would say, as they explored different routes across the country. On one of those seemingly endless excursions in the backseat of the 1959 Chevy Impala, the family stopped for a week long camp-out in the Colorado Rockies, and a love for mountains, natural beauty and travel was born. Visual artistry was a passion from a young age. He began painting and selling his art at 10, and attended Art Center College of Design while still a senior in hight school. After graduating college, graphic design and the advertising arts called to his creativity. Evident today, the visual drama and artistry of his photographs are born of a designers eye acquired through decades working as a creative director in the advertising industry. As a travel environment photographer based in Southern California, his pursuit of dramatic, engaging images has taken him to both the familiar, and unfamiliar locations. His eye for color and passionate curiosity shines throughout William’s work, attracting a wide audience. William’s style and talent for capturing amazing color, light and fleeting atmosphere saturate his portfolio, creating a sense of epic majesty and the bold ambiance.
