"Jamie Lawrence was born in Minnesota of Swedish descent. She started singing on stage at a young age, playing piano and guitar in church and competitively.  Her family, especially her mother & grandmother, encouraged music and the arts. She moved to Sterling Illinois, when she was twelve and had an amazing art teacher that saw her vision for art and encouraged her to make her own clothing and screen print her drawings.  She moved to Miami and received her Fine Arts Degree in Fashion and started working as a fashion designer and went into business for herself.

She has lived in Islamorada, St. Petersburg, Miami, Atlanta, Maryland, New Mexico, Las Vegas & Los Angeles. She has three adult children who reside in California.

She has written and illustrated a book that will be published this year, “Isabella and Her Voice” about following your talents and your passion.

Jamie has been in many solo and group shows for her Abstract Modern Art and has traveled to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Los Cabos, Grand Cayman,  Jamaica, Maui and Kauai several times. She will continue to travel around the world to experience new cultures for inspiration in her art. She has been in several shows in Santa Monica Hangar Gallery and in Las Vegas Art Shows. She has a studio in Las Vegas next to the Luxury Shops at Crystals.

Jamie fell in love with the energy of Los Angeles and decided to make it her home.  She opened her own 2000 square foot Art Gallery in the Arts District Downtown Los Angeles named  JamieLaGallery in 2013 and designed it to accommodate her huge art shows with live music.  Her gallery has attracted many famous collectors who have admired and purchased her art.  Music and TV shows have been filmed at her gallery and she has met and instantly became friends with so many amazing people that live in this high energy city.

Jamie has a passion for animal charities and has produced several charity events focused around art, raising awareness and money for our little furry friends and held a red carpet event at her private penthouse with Disney stars and a Getty Photographer.

Jamie is represented by Laguna Art Gallery in Laguna Beach and has a large collection on display and available for purchase. The gallery is open daily from 11-7 pm and by appointment. The gallery has an Art Show every First Thursday of the Month from 6-9 pm and Jamie has VIP events at the gallery. Laguna Beach Gallery is located 305 N. Coast Hwy next to the ocean, gallery row, fine restaurants, cafes and the art museum.

Jamie has designed million dollar homes with her art & design experience. She has collectors from around the world that have purchased her art for their homes & professional businesses. Her paintings are on the larger scale and can be delivered white glove or by crate. She loves to work with architects & interior designers & people that are looking to design their space. No project is too big and she loves to commission her work as well.

Jamie is excited about collaborating with Zensai a luxury streetwear designer in Beverly Hills and her art will be in the mezzanine for purchase & she will be customizing some of Zensai’s  luxury designs.

Jamie has been formally taught and can create a painting of a person, place, idea, or concept, however she loves to stand in front of her bare canvas with all her paints and mediums, palette knives and brushes and allow the present moment to come through her painting in silence or music, not thinking or trying to manipulate or plan the creation of art. She feels very fulfilled by letting go to see what beautiful art presents itself.

She is excited and grateful for all of the moments, experiences, and people she has met along the way of her journey and wishes to continue to grow and bring joy and beauty with her artwork.  Jamie hopes to always be an inspiration and encourage people & children to pursue their talents…. Everyone has them!"
