Original Art Work

2021

Description:  I've painted another colorful Pop Art style landscape scene. This one is a helicopter flying just above the trees as seen on one of my many long walks. Created in the vibrant colors of pink, purple, green, yellow, blue and orange. Although strongly influenced by David Hockney, I've crossed the boundaries and gone out beyond the usual, breaking all the rules in my own unique style.

The painting is done in professional quality acrylic and stretched on premium canvas. It measures 30 x 40 x 1.5 inches with neatly painted edges, unframed and ships stretched and ready to hang on the wall with all hanging hardware attached.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Sue Graef

Sue Graef is an award-winning American artist, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Growing up in the suburbs not far from New York enabled her to frequently visit the museums and art galleries, a large influence in her work.

Although her favorites are Henri Matisse and the more contemporary David Hockney, Graef has developed a unique style all her own using vibrant color in a Pop Art style of landscapes and urban scenes.

In the last few years Graef exhibited with 18 different venues all over then United States. She is currently exhibiting at the District Arts Gallery in Frederick, Maryland. Other exhibits of note are The Annual Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, Curators Voice, Marin Society of Artists and the Greenpoint Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. She is scheduled to exhibit during the famous Miami Art Week December 2021 at Spectrum Wynwood Miami and SCOPE on Miami Beach.

Graef attended classes at Philadelphia College of Art, followed by Tyler School of Art, Temple University and four decades of drawing and painting.
