DONALD JESOLVA
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Born in Los Angeles California, Based in South Orange County. Completed two years as an Art Major in Cerritos College. Where he was inspired by abstract and impressionist artist's freedom of color without boundaries. Later becoming a Firefighter for the City of Los Angeles. While working all over Los Angeles he was influenced by the city structures, surrounded by its Art, Music, and the diverse culture. After designing his own t-shirt company, he was discovered by Dreana Bain, head designer for George Atlan now former owner of Guess Jeans. Later becoming a contracted designer for Safety Clothing Company.
Recently retiring from the LAFD, he returned to his passion for art. Inspired by the loss and grief of his beloved sons' passing in November 2014 gave him the desire to paint on large (36"x 48") canvas abstract pieces in an acrylic medium. These pieces are multi-layered in color theory, movement, and texture. Each piece evokes an individual's expression of sorrow, love, and hope.
