ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Mandy Hyatt
I’m a child neuropsychologist who specializes in the assessment of children/adolescents who have neurodevelopmental disorders. I have a PhD and a Master’s degree. I’m a single mother who started painting while my son was still in junior high school, and fell in love with it. Having a creative outlet was life-giving to me. I never decide what my paintings will be about beforehand. I simply let the colors and feelings evoked by the colors lead the way. Such an invigorating process! The fact that people have responded fed positively to my work is icing on the cake.
