The clergy person, gowned in green, brings a bouquet for his beloved. He swings across the landscape, heavy with the tradition of the church and held by his wife. His work depends on the strong grip of the feminine. She hangs precariously from a trapeze with one leg. It is the best she can do. The trapeze is anchored in heaven. Life is tenuous as it oscillates back and forth in a wide arc between the light and dark.

After a long 15 year as a developing plein aire painter, I have evolved into what i call Innerscapes. This is an attempt to bring inner soul contents into visual imagery. It is a combination of archetypes in dreams and cultural symbols along with biblical images. It is not a logical world, but it is emotionally truthful.
