The Artist stands by the sea and peers into the vast sky. Overhead, the feminine spirit ride a wild horse. She is unclothed, vulnerable, and she clings to the horse’s mane desperate to stay on. Her red hair flows back. She stares ahead, determined, always moving forward through the night. She never stops, never rests, never retreats, never retraces where she has been.
National art scholarship out of High School, Graduated from UCLA in Drawing an Painting with honors, Graduated Princeton Seminary and served 5 churches in a 40 year career in ministry, Began a renewed art career in 2000. Married in 1961, two children, 7 grand children and surf often. Written two books "Digging Deep" and "Innerscape" .
After a long 15 year as a developing plein aire painter, I have evolved into what i call Innerscapes. This is an attempt to bring inner soul contents into visual imagery. It is a combination of archetypes in dreams and cultural symbols along with biblical images. It is not a logical world, but it is emotionally truthful.
