I was drawing before I could write or read. So, drawing is my first language. Thanks to the educational system - reading, words, stories became my second love. So today all of those things have merged. I write and read toward a visual sense and I paint and illustrate toward a writing sense. Beyond that, it's just a lot of manual labor, working to get it right.
Most paintings support the human experience - mainly life situations when someone can look back and step forward within a moment. I paint to tell stories using line, color, shapes, movement, texture and image. Usually there are three broad topics at play: A moment in time . A transitional element. Controlling chaos. Lines and suggestive movements must come in and go out of the picture plan. Otherwise it's a work fantasy, self-contained.
