Born in 1987. Anne has spent over six years studying at Braitman Studio in Charlotte, NC. She has taken art classes at the University of North Carolina, as well as art and fashion courses at Parsons School of Design and Meredith College. She's also taken multiple workshops and classes from a number of artists, including; Jeremy Lipking, Miriam Dirkin, Andy Braitman, Angela Nesbit, Kelley Brugh, and Nicholas Stewart. She currently resides in Redondo Beach, CA.
Often finding her original inspiration from the fashion industry, Anne incorporates color, texture, brush stroke, and knife work to help find and create the subject, add depth, enhance distances, and manipulate eye movement. She intentionally does this to immediately emphasize certain aspects on the painting and to also force the eye to continue to move around the piece of work to find new details. While she embraces using a variety of mediums, her primary medium is oil paint and she enjoys working with the figure in particular.
