I‘m a guy who needs a lot of alone time, and I think that my photography represents that side of my personality. I have two great dogs, Halia and Kanoa, and they take “ME” for a walk. I always look forward to our daily meanderings, but after awhile it started to feel like a routine. So, to keep the walks interesting, I’d pile the mutts into my car and off we’d go. Looking for new neighborhoods, or go on hikes, take walks down to the beach, we’d look for interesting places to go and explore. I just started taking my camera with me everywhere we went. I’d leash up the dogs, throw the camera over my shoulder and off we go. If I saw something that caught my eye, I’d stop and snap a shot. Simple as that, I just started shooting what I liked. So I guess you can say my career has gone to the dogs.
For years, I made a living as a ceramic and metal sculptor. I owned and operated my own studio and had my own gallery for years, and I was fortunate to show in many others. But a few years ago, the photography bug bit me. I became fascinated with the art form. At first, it was a hobby, then a passion and it soon became a serious interest, and now it is my full time profession.
So, thank you for taking the time to look at my work. If you appreciate my photography, we just made a connection and whether you know it or not, you just became a friend of mine. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
With kind regards,
